
A man was shot to death at a Panorama City intersection in an apparent road rage incident, authorities said Monday.
The shooting was reported at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at Roscoe Boulevard and Willis Avenue, said Sgt. D. Parker of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Mission Station.

Jesus Benitez-Jaimez, 24, of Panorama City died at the scene, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
According to the preliminary investigation, Benitez-Jaimez was driving a Mercedes with two passengers inside when he got out of the car on Willis Avenue and approached another vehicle, LAPD homicide Detective Mike Kozak told reporters at the scene.
Benitez-Jaimez was shot in the upper body. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.
Investigators were questioning witnesses and looking for surveillance video to help identify the suspect vehicle, which is believed to have shattered glass on the driver’s side.
