Fullerton police Monday were working to establish a motive for a weekend alley attack in which two Cal State Fullerton students were stabbed near fraternity row.
Police were called about 12:25 a.m. Sunday regarding an altercation in an alley at 2117 Teri Place, Fullerton police Sgt. Jon Radus said. When officers arrived, they found the victims, one with a stab wound to the chest and the other with an arm wound, Radus said.
Both were treated at area hospitals and are recovering at home, Radus said. Their names were not released.
When asked about a motive, the sergeant said, “We don’t know,” adding that police do not suspect a robbery. Video evidence is being reviewed to get a better handle on what happened, Radus said.
The suspect was described as Hispanic and “college-aged,” about 5 feet 10 and 150 pounds.
Anyone with information that would be helpful to investigators was encouraged to call Detective Mario Magliano at (714) 738-6753. Anonymous tips can be made through Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
