A man suffered a stab wound outside a Lakewood bar Friday morning and the assailant remains at large, authorities said.
The stabbing occurred at 1:56 a.m. outside of The Hideaway bar at 5523 South St., according to Sgt. J. Joblang, the watch commander at the sheriff’s Lakewood Station.
The victim, who is in stable condition, was outside talking to another patron when a man pulled out a knife and swung it at him, Joblang said. The victim was stabbed on the left side of his chest and the assailant ran away on foot.
The suspect is described as white and about 35 years old, Joblang said, adding the victim did not know the suspect and is unsure why he was stabbed.
No one else was injured in the incident.
