Police Sunday asked the public for help in their hunt for the killer of a man in his 40s who was gunned down in front of a fried chicken restaurant in South Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred at 4:45 p.m. Saturday in front of a Louisiana Fried Chicken restaurant near the intersection of Normandie Avenue and Manchester Boulevard, according to Sgt. Thomas Bojorquez of the Los Angeles Police Department‘s 77th Street Station.
Police were investigating at the scene and were hopeful there were witnesses, since the shooting happened at a major intersection, Bojorquez said.
Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call police at (800) 222-TIPS (8477) or on line at www.lacrimestoppers.org.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Bojorquez said.
The suspect, also a man in his 40s, fled the scene on foot, the sergeant said.
