Police found a man shot dead in a residential area of South Los Angeles, a police officer said Sunday.
Officers were dispatched at 2:28 p.m. Saturday to the 400 block of East 41st Street. That location is two blocks south of the Rev. Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard and just east of San Pedro Place.
They found a man, between the age of 35 to 45, shot in the body and head, said Officer Tony Im of the LAPD‘s Media Relations Section.
The shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Im said. A motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
