A motorist being chased by authorities was arrested Tuesday after the SUV crashed into a light pole and burst into flames in the Hancock Park area, police said.
The crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m. at Beverly Boulevard and Gower Street, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
It was not immediately known if the motorist was injured, or why the vehicle — reportedly a new black Range Rover — was being pursued.
