Deputies Sunday asked the public for help in finding the killer who shot a man in front of an apartment complex in Lakewood.

Deputies responded at 11 p.m. Saturday to the apartment complex in the 11800 block of Centralia Street where the gunshot victim was discovered, according to Deputy Crystal Hernandez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff‘s Information Bureau.

The man was found out front suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, she said.

Ballistic evidence was found at the scene, but there is no suspect information.
