Kmart stores in Los Angeles and Indio are among 64 across the country that will close later this year as the retailer looks to streamline its operations and phase out unprofitable locations.
It wasn’t immediately clear how many people would lose their jobs as a result of the closures.
Included on the list of stores set to close in December — a list first obtained by Business Insider — are locations at 5850 S. Vermont Ave. in Los Angeles and 81691 Highway 111 in Indio.
Clearance sales are expected to begin at all the affected locations later this week.
