A Los Angeles police motorcycle officer was recovering Thursday after suffering minor injuries in a crash that briefly shut down the northbound Pasadena (110) Freeway near downtown Los Angeles amid afternoon rush hour.
The collision was reported about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday near Stadium Way, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The officer sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. He was able to radio for a rescue ambulance following the crash.
One northbound lane was reopened about 45 minutes after the crash, and the other two lanes by about 5:15 p.m., the CHP reported.
