An actor who appeared in the children’s television series “Power Rangers Samurai” pleaded not guilty Friday to murdering his roommate last year.

Ricardo Medina, 37, allegedly stabbed his roommate, Josh Sutter, multiple times with a sword after an argument that turned physical on Jan. 31, 2015, at a house the two shared in Green Valley.

The two men had allegedly gotten into an argument about Medina’s girlfriend.

Medina was arrested Jan. 14 following a nearly yearlong investigation into the killing.

If convicted as charged, he could face up to 26 years to life in state prison, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
