Long Beach Police Friday investigated three shootings believed to have been gang-related but not connected, even though they occurred close to each other.
The victims in all three of Thursday’s shootings suffered non-life threatening wounds and were in stable condition today, said Long Beach police Lt. Mark Coble.
The first shooting was reported at 5:50 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of 10th Street, where a wounded man was found in the street, Coble said. Police are looking for two suspects in the case.
The second shooting occurred at 9:15 p.m. in the 600 block of Cerritos Avenue and involved a woman victim and a female shooter, who is also at large, Coble said.
The last shooting occurred at 10:38 p.m. in the 700 block of Eighth Street, where police found another wounded man. Two male suspects are being sough, according to Coble.
No information on the shooters was immediately available.
