It took 75 firefighters 51 minutes to put out flames from a brush fire in the Griffith Park area, authorities said Sunday.
The fire was reported in a quarter-acre of medium to heavy brush in the 4700 block of Crystal Springs Drive, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott said.
No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported in the Saturday afternoon fire, Scott said.
The flames consumed a half-acre of brush before the flames were doused, he said.
Firefighters were expected to remain on the scene to put out hot spots, Scott said.
