Authorities Wednesday sought public help to find a developmentally disabled man with schizophrenia who went missing while on his way to his home in Compton.
James Thomas Wilson, 47, was last seen about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday leaving his workplace in Long Beach, the sheriff’s department reported.
Wilson is black, 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds, with brown eyes. He is bald and wears glasses, and was wearing a blue sweatshirt and tan pants when last seen.
“Mr. Wilson is unable to care for himself,” a sheriff’s statement says. “His friends and caregivers are very concerned and asking for the public’s assistance in located him.”
