One person suffered severe burns and a second also sustained injuries Thursday in a fire within a commercial building in South Los Angeles.
The fire was reported at 2:17 p.m. in a one-story, metal-clad structure in the 9800 block of South Main Street, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The severely injured patient was in critical condition, Humphrey said.
Thirty-one firefighters knocked down the blaze in 15 minutes, he said.
The fire was contained to some contents, including a vehicle, inside the Quonset-hut style building, Humphrey said.
