An actor who appeared in the children’s television series “Power Rangers Samurai” was ordered Friday to stand trial on a murder charge for allegedly killing his roommate with a sword.

Ricardo Medina, 37, allegedly stabbed Josh Sutter multiple times when an argument over the defendant’s girlfriend turned physical on Jan. 31, 2015, at a house the two shared in Green Valley.

Medina was arrested Jan. 14 following a nearly yearlong investigation into the killing, and has remained jailed since then. He is due back in a Lancaster courtroom Nov. 4 for arraignment.

If convicted as charged, he could face up to 26 years to life in state prison, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
