Four people, including one critically, were injured Sunday at a hit-and-run crash on the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Compton.
Paramedics rushed three people to an area hospital and another person to a trauma center, according to a Compton Fire Department dispatcher.
At least one person had to be extricated from a vehicle, he said.
The crash occurred about 5 a.m. on the southbound 710 Freeway near Alondra Boulevard, the site of two separate, three-vehicle crashes, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada.
In the first three-vehicle crash there were no report of any injuries. It was during the second, three-vehicle crash where there were at least four injuries and the hit-and-run incident occurred, Posada said.
