Police are investigating five related shooting attacks — one of which included a death — during a five-hour period Saturday in South Los Angeles.
With details still sketchy, a man, approximately 25 years old, was shot a little after 4:30 a.m. in the area of Hoover and 90th streets, where police found the man unconscious and not breathing, according to Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
It was unclear if he died at the scene or at an area hospital.
Paramedics transported at least one person from the scene, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
There were three other related shootings, with reported times unclear: one at 88th and Hoover streets, and two at 90th Street and Vermont Avenue, Eisenman said.
The last reported shooting occurred a little after 9:40 a.m., in the area of 111th Street and Broadway, where officers dispatched to the location found a victim possibly suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, said Eisenman, who had no other immediate information.
Humphrey said at least two people were transported from that location to an area hospital.
