A driver suffered critical injuries and his passenger suffered serious injuries when their vehicle crashed into a tree Sunday in Studio City.
Firefighters and paramedics dispatched at 9:54 a.m. to the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard, near Vineland Avenue. They had to extricate the motorist from his vehicle, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The passenger had already made his way out of the vehicle prior to the arrival of the fire department.
The driver was rushed to a local trauma center in critical condition and his passenger was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, Humphrey said.
