Firefighters Friday are attempting to rescue a man found unconscious inside a petroleum tank in Paramount.
The man, who had been doing some welding inside the tank, was unresponsive, according to a county fire department dispatcher.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 11:12 a.m. on a “confined space rescue” call to the 7000 block of Alondra Boulevard, he said.
“We’re trying to get inside the tank,” he said.
