Sheriff’s deputies Monday were trying to solve a “body dump” mystery in which a man found with a gunshot wound on a street in Palmdale died at a hospital.
Someone saw the wounded man shortly after 8:30 p.m. Sunday near 25th Street East and East Old Harold Road and notified authorities, Deputy Andrea Lefebvre of the sheriff’s Palmdale station said.
“It looks like it was a body dump,” Lefebvre said. “It appears he was pushed out of a vehicle.”
The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Lefebvre said. His name was withheld pending family notification.
