A 79-year-old woman was found dead Wednesday at a residence in San Gabriel.
The body was discovered in the 1200 block of South Euclid Avenue shortly after 9 a.m. when law enforcement officers went to the location to conduct a welfare check on the woman, according to the sheriff’s department and the coroner’s office.
Authorities withheld her name, pending notification of her relatives. The cause of death was not immediately known, nor were details about what prompted the welfare check to be made.
