Law enforcement officials asked the public for help Sunday in finding the killer of a Hacienda Heights man who was found shot dead in a vehicle’s driver’s seat at a shopping center.
There was no word of any motive in the murder as deputies tried to figure out what happened and why.
Isidro Marquez Jr., 29, of Hacienda Heights, was identified as the victim by Coroner’s Investigator Rudy Molano.
The incident was called in a little after 8 a.m. Saturday from the 15800 block of Gale Avenue, according to Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Deputies responding to the rear parking lot of a shopping center, after receiving a call of a “person not breathing,” found Marquez seated in the driver seat of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso, Navarro-Suarez said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
Detectives asked anyone with information regarding the death to call them at (323) 890-5500.
