A power line fell onto the Marina (90) Freeway Monday in Playa Vista, causing a full closure and knocking out electricity to 73 businesses, authorities said.

The line was reported down about 1:15 p.m. across the freeway west of Centinela Avenue, according to Vonda Paige of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

The line was hanging over the westbound lanes and on the pavement across three eastbound lanes of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Westbound traffic was diverted onto the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway, according to the CHP.

It’s unclear what caused the line to come down.

All lanes were reopened by 6:30 p.m., according to the CHP.
