A midnight oil spill caused the closure of the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway early Saturday in La Canada Flintridge.
A driver reported a large bumper, possibly from a semi-truck, in the roadway just west of the Angeles Crest (2) Highway at 11:47 p.m. Friday, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.
Shortly after the bumper was reported, a Toyota ran over the it in the midnight darkness, causing the Toyota to rupture and spill oil, the dispatcher said.
No one was injured.
A SigAlert was issued at 12:08 a.m. for the closure of the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 lanes for cleanup. All lanes were reopened by 2:30 a.m.
