Two Los Angeles police officers suffered minor injuries Tuesday when their squad car crashed into a light pole and building in the Mid-City area.

The single-vehicle crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of La Cienega Boulevard and Guthrie Avenue, said Sgt. K. Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The officers were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries and were released, said LAPD Officer Liliana Preciado.

The impact of the crash caused the airbags to deploy, according to reports from the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
