
Lanes on the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Boyle Heights were shut down Sunday morning after a tanker truck carrying milk spilled over, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert at 9:31 a.m. closing the number 1, 2 and 3 lanes, north of the Pomona (60) Freeway, to allow for clean up.
Caltrans was requested to bring sand to assist clean up.
Lanes were reopened at 10:15 a.m.
