A 14-year-old boy was in custody Wednesday after police said he stabbed an alleged 72-year-old “peeping Tom” multiple times to get revenge for his sister.

The stabbing was reported at 3:49 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of East Orange Grove Avenue where the victim was found with multiple stab wounds to his upper body and arms, Pasadena Police Lt. John Luna told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

The teen fled the location but was found an hour later at Oakland Avenue and Walnut Street.

The target of the stabbing attack was hospitalized with at least six stab wounds, but he was later released, according to police.

The boy told police he recognized the man he would stab as a peeping Tom who watched his sister through her window a few years back, said Sgt. Glenn Thompson of the Pasadena Police Department.

The teen, who was identified by witnesses, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to juvenile hall, Luna told the newspaper.

Investigators will follow up with the teen about his voyeurism claim when he’s questioned, Thompson said.
