Two suspects who pried their way into three commercial properties in Whittier early Thursday made off with about $6,000 worth of high-end liquor from a BevMo store, police reported.
The suspects broke into the first business — a Marie Callender’s restaurant in the 12400 block of Washington Boulevard — just after 2 a.m., but they left without taking anything, according to Whittier police Sgt. Jim Uhl.
About 20 minutes later, they broke into BevMo in the 15500 block of Whittier Boulevard and used shopping carts to load the booze into their waiting pickup truck, Uhl said.
About 20 minutes after stealing the liquor, they broke into a MoneyGram store in the 14100 block of Lambert Road, but for the second time in three tries came away empty-handed, according to the sergeant.
Descriptions of the suspects, including their genders, were not immediately available.
