A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death early New year’s morning in the Cypress Park area of Los Angeles, and police Monday asked for the public’s help to find his killer.

The victim was Christian Nino, said coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz.

The stabbing was reported at 2:18 a.m. Sunday at 2627 Jeffries Ave., said Sgt. Teresa Anderson of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Northeast Station.

Responding officers arrived to find Nino was already being treated by paramedics. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Anderson said.

Detectives reported that Nino was involved in some sort of fight when he was stabbed, according to the LAPD.

The murder suspects were described as three Hispanic men, 18 to 20 years old, who were seen running from the crime scene north on Jeffries to East Avenue 28.

Police asked anyone with information on this homicide to call LAPD’s Northeast Division Detectives Lenchuk or Martinez at (323) 561-3421. Tipsters can also call the LAPD’s 24-hour tipline at (877) 527-3247 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS. All tips can be made anonymously.
