A man was arrested for allegedly smashing windows of more than 20 cars in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles, authorities said.
It happened at Third and Berendo streets, said Sgt. F. Carrillo of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Station.
“He was walking down the street and smashing the windshields of over 20 vehicles,” Carrillo said.
Witnesses called 911.
The suspect was wielding an object that looked like a hand saw, he said.
Arriving officers in the Monday incident observed the man, believed about 30 years-old, “continuously smashing vehicle windows,” Carrillo said.
Officers took the suspect into custody without further incident for suspicion of felony vandalism, he said.
Officers continued to assess the damage, he said.
