After a family gathering turned to tragedy, a 64-year-old woman who allegedly gunned down her 40-year-old niece during a “family dispute” in Brea will go to court Jan. 27 on murder charges.

Eunsoo Bae, 64, also faces a sentencing enhancement for the use of a gun in the killing of Jennifer Lee of Claremont, authorities said.

Bae’s family members were holding her down in a driveway in the 400 block of Tangerine Place when police responded to the shooting about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Brea police said.

Bae and Lee were at a family gathering at a relative’s home and got into some sort of a “family dispute,” police said.

Lee died at a hospital of multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Bae was being held on $1 million bail and was next due in court on Jan. 27 after being charged with murder on Thursday, according to jail records.
