Because of the rainstorms, a number of Los Angeles County roads have been closed.

Among the closures:

— All canyon roads in the Malibu area, according to the California Highway Patrol;

— Mt. Wilson Road, from Angeles Forest Highway to Mt. Wilson Circle, due to winter weather conditions;

— Upper Big Tujunga Road from the Angeles Forest Highway to the Angeles Crest Highway, due to storm conditions and rock slide potential;

— Big Pines Highway, from Largo Vista Road to Angeles Crest Highway, although open, is restricted to vehicles with chains above 5,000 feet.

The closures will continue until safe conditions are restored, according to the county Department of Public Works.

Officials also noted that although Bouquet Canyon Road, north of Santa Clarita, remains open, the roadway could be closed at any time, depending on road conditions.

In anticipation of a more severe storm on Sunday, Bouquet Canyon Road is scheduled to be closed between the gates at 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, until conditions and inspection allow.
