Firefighters putting out a contents fire at a single-story home in Pomona Sunday discovered some live ammunition in a front room at the residence.
It was not immediately known if the ammunition was found in the room or area the contents fire occurred, according to Inspector Gustavo Medina of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Firefighters dispatched at 12:06 p.m. to the 700 block of East Lincoln Avenue had the fire out at 12:25 p.m., Medina said.
No injuries were reported.
There may have been at 1,000 rounds of live ammunition inside of the home, according to media reports.
