A man was fatally wounded in a shooting in Carson, sheriff’s deputies said Sunday.
The shooting occurred at 7:30 p.m. Saturday between Sepulveda Boulevard and Carson Street, according to Sheriff’s Information Bureau Deputy Trina Schrader.
Part of the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway was shut down while authorities investigated the shooting, Schrader said.
Authorities needed the space shut down to search for evidence and piece together what happened, she said. All lanes were reopened by 11:15 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies eventually responded to a local hospital regarding a gunshot victim being dropped off. The victim died from his injuries a little after 3:50 a.m., according to Kimberly Alexander of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives asked anyone with information regarding the shooting attack to call them at (323) 890-5500.
