The investigation of a drive-by shooting in October that resulted in the death of a 26-year-old man may get a boost after a motion was introduced at the Los Angeles City Council meeting Friday offering a $50,000 reward in the case.

According to the motion, Sanchez was standing on the street with a friend when a silver vehicle approached him. An unknown individual exited the vehicle and opened fire on Sanchez with a rifle, fatally wounding him.
The motion, introduced by Councilman Curren Price, would offer $50,000 for anyone providing information leading to the identification, apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the crime.
Anyone with information was asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Division homicide unit at (323) 846-6556.
