Authorities Thursday released security photos they hope will help solve a burglary in Glendale, in which a small safe containing jewelry was taken.

The crime occurred about 11 a.m. Jan. 9 in the 1200 block of Thompson Avenue, said Tahnee Lightfoot of the Glendale Police Department.

Video shows the suspect vehicle pass by the victim’s home several times,” Lightfoot said. “After the victim leaves the residence, the suspects park nearby.”

A man got out of the car, which was driven by another person, and forced entry to the detached office behind the home and carried out the safe, Lightfoot said. He then got back into the car, and his accomplice took off.

The thief was described as 25-35 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with a thin build and a beard. He was wearing a maroon sweatshirt with a hood.

No description was available of the getaway driver, who was behind the wheel of a black four-door 2005 or 2006 Mercedes-Benz C series.

A reward of up to $1,000 was offered by Crime Stoppers for information that helps solve the crime. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
