A drunken driver smacked his car into a stopped police car, slightly injuring two Los Angeles police officers who had stopped a different alleged drunk, police said Sunday.
The two officers were treated and released from a hospital following the crash, which was at 11:25 p.m. Saturday near West Manchester Avenue and South Broadway, said Sgt. Norma Vargas of the LAPD South Traffic Division.
The officers had been conducting a routine drunken driving investigation, the police sergeant said Sunday.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, but the police report did not indicate any injuries.
