Police Thursday circulated surveillance images of two men suspected of stealing cell phones valued at more than $14,000 from an Apple store in Glendale.

The theft occurred about 8:40 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Apple store at the Americana at Brand shopping center, according to Tahnee Lightfoot of the Glendale Police Department.

“They selected 14 display phones, ripped them from their security tethers and ran out of the store,” Lightfoot said. “The loss totaled $14,424.”

Both suspects were described as black and between 20 and 25 years old. One was 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and had a thin build, and the other was 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a thin build and a shaved head.

Anyone who recognizes either suspect or has information about the theft was urged to call Glendale police at (818) 548-4911.

Tips can also be submitted, anonymously if desired, by calling Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward.
