
Metro’s Purple Line subway service was halted Sunday about 4:15 p.m. after a bloody stabbing murder at the Wilshire Normandie Station in Koreatown, according to Metro spokesman Jose Ubaldo and media reports.
Passengers are being bused around the crime scene, Ubaldo says.
According to abc7, authorities responded to reports of a fight at the station located at Wilshire Boulevard and Normandie Avenue.
“When Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies arrived, they found a man dead on the platform,” the report continued.
CBSLosAngeles broadcast the suspect was still at large as of 6 p.m.
“Train service between the Wilshire/Western and Wilshire/Vermont stations was shut down due to the police activity,” the CBS report continued.
No further details were immediately released by police.
