One man was hospitalized in critical condition after Los Angeles County firefighters extinguished an attic fire inside a home in Palmdale Sunday, according to a dispatch supervisor.
The blaze was inside a home at 37643 Poseidon Dr., and it was reported at 1:39 p.m., according to Dispatch Supervisor Cheryl Sims.

A 21-year-old man was pulled from the home in full cardiac arrest and transported to a hospital, Sims said. His current condition was unknown.
The fire was contained to the attic and a knockdown was declared at 2:24 p.m., Sims said. Investigators were sent to the scene to determine the cause of the fire, she added.
