A 40-year-old real-life “Mrs. Robinson” from Calabasas has been arrested on suspicion of having unlawful sex with teen boy minors.
Gina Weisberg was arrested on suspicion of three felony counts each of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, oral copulation and lewd acts with a minor, as well as two felony counts of furnishing a controlled substance and five misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Weisberg’s bail was set at $695,000 and she was released the day of her arrest Thursday after posting bond, according to the sheriff’s department, which reported that she is due to be arraigned on March 23 in Van Nuys.
The victims were teenage boys, according to media reports. However, no details were provided about how the alleged victims met Weisberg, how long the actions continued or how the case came to the attention of authorities.
Is the suspect a real-life Mrs. Robinson? If you’re a Baby Boomer and remember the seminal angst film from that era, you’ll remember Anne Bancroft’s steely-eyed Mrs. Robinson who seduced her daughter’s college-graduate boyfriend in “The Graduate.”
However, her sex target in the movie was a recent college graduate in his early 20s, so despite the age difference, there was no story line about illegal sex.
