Authorities Sunday were investigating a crash in which a man and a woman were killed in a two-vehicle crash on the deadly Pearblossom Highway (138) in Llano.
It happened at 6:51 p.m. Saturday on the Pearblossom Highway at 175th Street East, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Alex Rubio. That stretch of highway has a reputation for being a difficult and dangerous drive due to high speeds, dips and poor visibility.
A man in his 20s and a woman between 20 and 30 were pronounced dead at the scene, Rubio said. He did not know whether they were from the same vehicle. Their names were not released pending notification of relatives.
Two other people were taken to hospitals with major injuries, he said.
