A motorcyclist and a pedestrian were seriously injured in the pre-dawn darkness Wednesday in a Stanton crash, authorities said.
The crash was reported just before 4 a.m. on Beach Boulevard near Second Street, said Lt. Nathan Wilson of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The motorcycle rider and pedestrian were both transported to hospitals with severe but not life-threatening injuries, Wilson said. No personal details about them were immediately released.
Southbound Beach Boulevard was expected to be closed between Second Street and Cerritos Avenue until at least 7 a.m. for the crash investigation.
Another crash involving two vehicles a few blocks away on Beach Boulevard and Katella Avenue prompted authorities to close that intersection until about 6 a.m. No one was injured in this crash, authorities said.
