The Los Angeles Police Department will conduct four DUI checkpoints this weekend in an effort to crack down on people driving while drunk or on drugs.

The first sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint will be held beginning at 8 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of West Manchester Avenue, at Denver Avenue. Another will be held beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday in the 11200 block of South Figueroa Street at West 112th Street.

Another checkpoint will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday in Sherman Oaks, in the 15200 block of Ventura Boulevard at Columbus Avenue.

A DUI “saturation patrol” is planned beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday in the LAPD’s Mission Area, covering areas including Mission Hills, Arleta, Panorama City and North Hills.
