A man and woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday in what’s believed to be a gang-related shooting in the unincorporated Westmont area.
The shooting was reported at 4:53 p.m. in the area of 111th Street and Hobart Boulevard, according to a watch sergeant at the sheriff’s South Los Angeles Station.
Both victims were taken to a hospital, the sergeant said.
He did not elaborate on why the shooting was thought to be gang-related.
A possibly related shooting that occurred a short time later a few blocks north of 111th and Hobart was under investigation, he said.
No suspect information was available in relation to either incident.
