A motorcyclist fatally injured in a crash on Interstate 215 in Riverside was identified Friday as a 27-year-old Perris resident.
Mark Olivas was northbound on I-215 at Van Buren Boulevard, approaching the Van Buren exit ramp, when he lost control of his bike about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics arrived a few minutes later and found him suffering from major physical trauma but still clinging to life. Olivas was transported to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley, where he died a short time later.
The crash remains under investigation.
