Search and rescue teams rescued two injured hikers from two separate falls at the Eaton Waterfall near Altadena, authorities said.

A 30-year-old woman fell and sprained her ankle at about 10:20 a.m. Saturday, said Sgt. Darrin Walker of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

She was assisted out of the area by Altadena Mountain Rescue workers and Los Angeles County firefighters and taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital for treatment, he said.

Then at 11:40 a.m. firefighters were called back to the Eaton Canyon Waterfall via the Pinecrest Drive gate to help a 50-year-old man who had fallen and dislocated his shoulder, Walker said.

Firefighters helped the man get to his car and he opted to drive himself to a hospital, the sergeant said.
