
Two Perris residents accused of running a large-scale identity theft operation and drug lab out of their apartment remained jailed Sunday.
Deputies served a search warrant at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday at an apartment in the 140 block of Perou Street.

There, they allegedly found stolen and forged checks, credit cards, identification cards, driver’s licenses and mail, as well as “personal profiles” that contained the personal information of various victims, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Sam Morovich.
A total of over 110 victims of either theft or fraud were identified during the investigation, Morovich said.
Most of the victims were Perris residents.
Deputies also found a butane honey oil lab in the apartment, Morovich said.
Candace Zie, 38, was arrested on suspicion of various felony fraud, forgery and identity theft charges and for having two outstanding felony warrants. She was booked into the Indio Jail were she remains in lieu of $200,000 bail, according to inmate records.
Pierre Waight, 36, was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance and booked into the Southwest Detention Center, where he remains in lieu of $50,000 bail, according to inmate records.
