A man who was found suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene of a two-vehicle crash in South Los Angeles succumbed to his injuries, authorities said Saturday.
Officers responded at 4:35 p.m. Friday to a report of a shooting at the intersection of Woodlawn Avenue and 52nd Street in the South Park neighborhood, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The gunshot wound victim was located and taken to a hospital where he died, police said.
The wounded man had been in an SUV that collided with another vehicle, according to a report from the scene that showed the crashed the vehicles.
A possible suspect, described only as a male, left the scene in a dark- colored vehicle, LAPD Officer Tony Im said.
