A 20-year-old USC student has been arrested for allegedly committing a sexual assault in a campus dorm.
Armann Karim Premjee is suspected of committing the sexual assault on April 1, authorities said.
The alleged assault “was reported immediately” to USC’s Department of Public Safety early in the morning of April 1, Los Angeles Police Department Capt. Billy Hayes told the Los Angeles Times.
The university’s public safety department then reported it to the LAPD for investigation, Hayes said.
Hayes confirmed that both students are undergraduates and that the alleged assault was not the result of an on-campus activity or an event sponsored by the school, The Times reported.
No other details about the crime or the victim were released.
Premjee was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail after he was arrested Tuesday, according to sheriff’s inmate records.
